Checking out Time4learning

I've been invited to try Time4Learning for one month in exchange for a candid review. My opinion will be entirely my own, so be sure to come back and read about my experience.     We love time4learning. I can't wait to hear what you think of it. Even though I have used it for years I like to hear other opinions. I'll be back to check out your review.

    Thanks Kathy. We have been using if for 2 weeks now and my son really likes it. I am using it to suppliment our homeschooling curriculum. My son is 5 and I have found that he prefers working on the computer to workbooks. We have tried other online curriculums but he did not enjoy them as much because it used the same games and graphics to teach the skills. He does enjoy the characters but he likes that it does not repeat as much as the others.

    I personally have enjoyed the organization of the site. The ease of use for me is great and I like that I get reports of what the kids are doing. And I enjoy the older grades lessons. My daughter is using these for second grade and has enjoyed them. She is not as into it as her brother though. It may be that she is just not as into computers as he is but I thinl part of it is the pace of the program. Both of the kids have a little issue with the reading program. There are times when they are read a fable and the next lesson rereads the fable. My son will sometimes get annoyed with this because he jut heard it. I wonder if in school they space these lessons out more so the refresher is needed. Perhaps there should be a way for the program to know that you just heard the story and to just ask the comprehension questions.

    All in all we are enjoying it. I think the only other thing I could ask for would be an app so we could do it on the iPad. We are getting ready to start traveling for 2 months on the road and having this would be wonderful so we could keep up with lessons without so many book.
